Configuration – Configure the PPPoE through the router’s admin web via Internet Explorer (IE)

WARNING: Do NOT upgrade firmware / configure on any SMC product over a wireless connection. Failure of the device may occur. Use only hard-wired network connections.

1) Access to the admin page (http://192.168.2.1/).

2) Enter the login password; default password: smcadmin.

3) Under BASIC --> Internet

4) Click on --> Manual Configure

5) My Internet Connection is: PPPoE

6) Address Mode: Dynamic IP

7) IP Address: 0.0.0.0

8) Username: user@isp

9) Password / verify password: password given by ISP

10) Service Name: ISP NAME

11) Reconnect Mode: Always on

12) Scroll to top, click SAVE SETTING

13) Click on Reboot the Device.

14) Close the internet browser once the device is successfully reboots (back to login page).

16) Under STATUS à DEVICE INFO

17) Connection Type: PPPoE

18)  Cable Status: Connected

19) IP address: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX

20) Once you able to see IP address, you are connected to the Internet.
