SMC demonstrate the total solution during Computex 2009

Edge-Core and SMC Networks, Brand Division of Accton, have its own showcases in Taipei office, delegated to invited guests nearby Taipei World Trade Center.  With the joint presentation, Edge-Core/SMC Networks will demonstrate their combined solution to meet the end-to-end solution requirement for ISP, enterprise, and SMB users.

With the growth of new application like triple-play, surveillance or VoIP, it is required to have advanced switches, which supports IGMP snooping, MVR, or full-power POE. Edge-Core/SMC are providing series of new switches to support the growth of such market.  These switches are designed to address service provider market to provide IP TV service and VoIP application.  The triple-play end-to-end solutions will be shown as well, including FTTx/ETTx/VDSL2 Gateways together with IP STB.

“We Care for the Earth” is what’s planned for Edge-Core/SMC new green saving switches. “Starting from new series of switches, Edge-Core/SMC will continue to phase in more and more environment-friendly green switches.”, said C.K. Ng, Senior Manager of Brand Division, Accton.  The power saving is upto 56% with Edge-Core/SMC green saving technology.

In the private booth, new series of VoIP solutions will be demonstrated, including IPPBX, FXO Gateway, FXS Gateway, IP phones together with the existing L2 POE Switches as a VoIP solution kits to SMBs. And, e-Health care solutions includes e-Heath care box, IP Phone and backend server together with 3G router as back-up link, which demonstrate exactly future e-medical market solution for service providers.
